Mint Bombe
Mint Bombe
A Holiday Treat or Summer Surprise!
This dessert requires a jello or ice cream mold. The amount of ice cream and sherbet required will be determined by the size of your mold.
Ingredients:
Vanilla ice cream
Fresh Mint leaves
Orange Sherbet
Crystallized fresh mint leaves (or just more mint leaves)
Instructions:
1. Pack vanilla ice cream into a mold to form a 1-inch layer over sides and bottom.
2. Press a layer of mint leaves against the ice cream to cover it completely.
3. Fill the center with the orange sherbet to within 1 inch of the top of the mold.
4. Cover with another layer of mint leaves.
5. Fill the mold completely with a final layer of vanilla ice cream.
6. Place the mold in the freezer.
7. Just before serving, unmold and decorate with either crystallized mint leaves or additional mint leaves.
