Heart-Shaped Lavender Cookies

Delightful with tea or coffee!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter
6 2/3 Tablespoons caster sugar (very finely granulated sugar)
1 1/2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon dried lavender
2 Tablespoons fresh lavender flowers
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons milk
heart-shaped cookie cutter

Instructions:

1. Cream together butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.

2. Stir in vanilla extract, lavender, flour and milk.

3. Form a ball from the dough and wrap in cling wrap.

4. Place in fridge for 15 minutes to rest.

5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

6. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured board and cut out biscuits.

7. Place on baking sheet.

8. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.

9. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet and move to wire rack to cool completely.

10. Sprinkle with sugar and serve.
