Rosemary and Oatmeal Herbal Soap Balls




These beautiful soap balls contain rosemary for skin stimulation and oatmeal which softens water and soothes and softens skin.


Ingredients:

1/4 cup boiling water
1 Tablespoon dried chamomile

(1 Tablespoon dried lavender flowers)

(1 Tablespoon dried peppermint leaves)

(1 Tablespoon dried rosemary)

(1 Tablespoon dried sage)

(1 Tablespoon dried thyme)

(These last five herbs are optional.  You may use these as you would like--either just one or a combination of all five, whatever your preference.)
5 or 6 drops of a related essential oil, if desired for stronger scent

2 cups shredded Ivory Soap (1 "Personal size" bar)

1/2 cup Oatmeal



Instructions:

1. Pulverize the herbs in a mortar and pestle.

2. Pour the water over the herbs and steep for 15 minutes.

3. Reheat till bubbly and pour over the Ivory Soap.

4. Mix well with your hands and let stand 15 minutes.

5. Mix again and divide into 3 or 6 parts, rolling each part into a ball.

6. Roll the balls in the oatmeal to coat thoroughly.

7. Place on plastic wrap and let dry for 3 days.

8. After the three days, you can wrap them in nylon netting and ribbons for gifts or to use yourself!
